Screening programmes in Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland has 3 national cancer screening programmes - for bowel, cervical and breast. You must be registered with a GP to receive a screening invitation or kit. If you aren’t registered, find a local GP here.
Cancer screening is for people with no symptoms. If you have symptoms, don’t wait for a screening invitation - tell your doctor as soon as possible. Even if you have recently taken part in screening, tell them about anything unusual for you.
