Cancer death rates fall by over 20% in 50 years

Responding to CRUK research, Chief Executive Michelle Mitchell said:

“It’s fantastic to see that thanks to research, cancer death rates have drastically reduced over the last 50 years… however, there’s more that can be done. The upcoming National Cancer Plan for England must improve cancer survival, and transform cancer services. If this plan is done right, it could save countless lives across England and ensure people affected by cancer live longer, better lives.”
