Thank you!
A huge thank you to all our incredible volunteers for everything you do to support Cancer Research UK!
Whether you’re cheering on participants at Race for Life, pricing vintage handbags in one of our shops or campaigning in Westminster – together, you play a vital role in supporting our life-saving research.
We quite simply couldn’t make the progress we do without you.

Several members of our volunteer and supporter community were among those recognised on the 2025 New Year Honours list. Congratulations to our supporters and campaigners Lady Estelle Wolfson, Susan Mountain, Violet Phillips and Ivan Black and a huge thank you for everything you have done to support Cancer Research UK. The Flame of Hope Awards

The Flame of Hope Awards are Cancer Research UK's annual awards, celebrating the achievements of some of our most outstanding and inspiring volunteers. Since 2003, we have presented nearly 2,000 awards to thank the committed individuals who give their time and energy to help beat cancer.
After running for an incredible 21 years, and given the current financial climate, the Flame of Hope awards programme is on pause for 2025. We'll be reviewing the programme alongside the other methods we have to thank and celebrate volunteers, so that we can make sure we're recognising your contributions in the most effective ways possible.
