We currently have lots of different volunteering opportunities across our events portfolio.
From supporting our runners at Sports events and with Race for Life, Big Hike and Shine Night Walk events taking place in 2025, there’s something for every group wanting to lend a hand.

Volunteering at our events
We run 400 events annually, but we can’t do this without the help of volunteers on the day to support our 700,000 participants. With lots of events to choose from such as Race for Life, Shine, or one of our Pretty Muddy events, there's something for every type of team.

Days: The majority of events take place at weekends or, occasionally, in the evening
Donation stations
In the run up to your volunteering day with us, why not add a donation station to your workplace? A donation station is a designated donated stock drop off point where people can drop off their bagged pre-loved items. This is a great way to get your employees engaged in the run up to your volunteering day and is a way to boost your support to us.
We’ll provide you with everything you need including a pop-up donation bin, donation bags and posters. This helps make a huge difference, as we raise on average £22 per bag donated.

Frequently asked questions
How big a team can you accommodate?
Our superstores and marketplace hubs can often accommodate larger sized groups of volunteers, and our shops can offer a more intimate team experience for groups of less than six volunteers. Our events can accommodate teams of any size!
Will my team need any specialist skills?
You and your company will volunteer alongside staff and volunteers who’ll share their knowledge and enable you to get on with the designated tasks. There will be on the day training where required and a health and safety briefing so that you are supported throughout your volunteering.
