Cancer Research UK Stitch and Fix Workshop  

Terms and Conditions  

 

The workshop is organised by Cancer Research UK Trading Limited (registered office: 2 Redman Place, London E20 1JQ, registered company number: 4355631), a trading company which Gift Aids its taxable profits to Cancer Research UK (a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464), Scotland (SC041666), the Isle of Man (1103) and Jersey (247)). 

Where reference is made to “we” or “our” in these terms and conditions, it means both Cancer Research UK and Cancer Research UK Trading Limited. 
 

Age restrictions 

You must be 18 years or above on the day of your workshop in order to take part. 
 

Your place and refunds 

Your place on the workshop cannot be cancelled, exchanged or resold.  

If you wish to transfer your ticket to someone else, please call us on 020 3469 6494 at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop and we might be able to accommodate this for you. 

Your ticket is non-refundable unless we: 

  • Change the workshop venue and/or date, in which case we give you the option to (a) attend the rescheduled workshop; or (b) receive a refund; or 
  • Cancel the workshop, in which case you will be offered a refund. 

In the event of cancellation for any reason, we are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or other expenses you may incur in relation to the cancelled workshop.  

We reserve the right to alter or vary the content of the workshop without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets.  

For the safety of our staff and volunteers, we reserve the right to refuse admission to our Superstore and/or the workshop. 
 

CCTV 

The workshop will take place during scheduled opening hours in a Cancer Research UK Superstore.  For this reason, please be aware that CCTV will be active while you are taking part in the workshop. 
 

Filming and photography  

We may film or photograph you taking part in the workshop for promotional content including, but not limited to television broadcasts, advertising, publications, marketing material, merchandising, and other documents that may be made available to the public.  If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed at the workshop, please let us know on the day and/or inform the photographer or videographer directly. 
 

Our liability to you 

Personal arrangements that you make concerning the event, for example travel and accommodation costs, are made at your own risk and we cannot be held financially responsible for any losses. 

We are not responsible for any injury, damage or loss that might occur because of your participation in or attendance at the workshop.  This includes any loss or damage to personal property that you bring to the workshop.  

We do not in any way seek to exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. 
 

Your Personal Information 

When you register for the workshop, we use the personal data you provide to provide you with information about your workshop and in order to process your payment.  

With your consent, we will contact you to let you know about the progress Cancer Research UK is making and to ask for financial and non-financial support. 

We hold and process any personal data provided by you in accordance with our Privacy Policy 
 

Applicable law and jurisdiction  

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with them is governed by and construed in accordance with English and Welsh law. The English and Welsh courts have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that may arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
