Anne-Marie sadly passed away in May 2023.

In her role as Global Chief Marketing Officer at BNY Mellon, Anne-Marie was instrumental in gifting Cancer Research UK the title rights to the Boat Race from 2016-2018, worth many millions of pounds. She went on to inspire the launch of Cascaid, bringing together the asset management community to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. In year one the campaign raised a staggering £2.75M. She inspired a whole community to fundraise as well as taking on her own epic rowing challenge across the Irish sea. Anne-Marie was a young mum, a trailblazer in her industry and a fabulous colleague and friend.

Gower’s campaigning and fundraising for Cancer Research UK has been relentless over the last 15 years. With an irrepressible love for running, he sets world records and completes the world’s biggest marathons, raising £65,000 and counting. However, what makes Gower so special is how generous he is with his time. Gower has coached and nurtured thousands of Cancer Research UK runners, inspiring people to believe they can achieve their goals. He is also the heart of the Campaigns Ambassador programme, as both a volunteer, and now Cancer Research UK employee. A tireless campaigner, he is a compelling communicator with a passionate drive to make progress faster – truly the Ambassadors’ Ambassador.

Neil first became involved in Cancer Research UK's work in 2006 after his daughter Anne was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2004, when she was aged three. Anne, who is now in her 20s, has been involved alongside Neil in much of his volunteering. Neil is a very special Cancer Research UK supporter and has made a huge impact with his involvement in so many different roles over the years. He has great energy and whenever an opportunity arises, he is quick to help and is always totally flexible and willing to assist in any way possible. Neil is the most unassuming and gracious of supporters and we can think of no one more deserving of an Honorary Fellowship.

Motivated by personal experience of losing her husband to cancer, Sue became a Campaigns Ambassador over a decade ago and has been a powerful voice for good ever since. Sue’s drive to help other cancer patients and their families is incredible and she challenges the charity to be more efficient and bolder. Curious and passionate about cancer science and policy, Sue’s knowledge from her career in global pharmaceuticals informs numerous campaigns, as well as steering and advisory committees within Cancer Research UK and across the sector.  A warm and charismatic volunteer, Sue has raised tens of thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK by completing herculean cycle and running challenges and has significantly contributed towards driving political change with her persuasion and influencing skills.
