Melanoma skin cancer

Melanoma skin cancer is a type of cancer that starts in cells called melanocytes. These are found in the skin. Treatments include surgery and cancer drugs.

This section is about melanoma skin cancer. Melanoma that starts in the layer of tissue lining some parts of your body is called mucosal melanoma. Melanoma can also start in the eye.
