Gary Gallen is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of rradar, a pioneering legal and technology enterprise headquartered in Hull. With over 30 years’ experience as one of the UK's leading corporate defence lawyers, Gary launched rradar in 2012 with a bold vision: to transform the traditional legal model into one that is proactive, accessible, and affordable. Beyond his business achievements, Gary is passionate about giving back. He regularly undertakes personal challenges to raise funds for charitable causes. As the proud Chairman of the Business Beats Cancer Board, he is honoured to help build a new board dedicated to this vital cause and is committed to leveraging his networks, leadership skills, and influence to accelerate progress toward beating cancer sooner.

Rob Worrell is the Chief Executive Officer of Everywhen, formerly Ardonagh’s Advisory platform, which encompasses four strategic quadrants: Networks, General Insurance, Employee Benefits, and MGAs. With a career spanning over three decades in the insurance sector, Rob brings a wealth of experience and entrepreneurial insight. Rob began his journey in insurance as a founding partner of The Insurance Partnership in 1993. His leadership trajectory continued as CEO of Jelf General Insurance, following its acquisition by Marsh. Rob holds the ACII qualification and is a Chartered Insurance Broker, underscoring his technical expertise and commitment to industry standards.

Julie’s current role is Managing Director of Hinks Insurance Brokers based in Hull. Julie has over 26 years’ experience as a Commercial Broker. She is passionate about giving back and has worked a number of local charities. Like most people Cancer Research is close to Julie’s heart having lost her mother and other family members . She is looking forward to contributing to the fight against it and continue to support the research locally and nationally.

Andrew Horncastle is Chairman of Horncastle Group Plc, a local property development company based in Newport. He is an entrepreneur with a keen sense of what makes businesses grow and develop. Andrew was a Trustee of the Daisy Appeal charity for over 10 years where his involvement and investment contributed towards the opening of a £4.5 million world class diagnosis and research facility at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, housing a PET-CT scanner for early diagnosis for cancer, heart disease and dementia. In 2019, Andrew was awarded an MBE for his services to business and charity.

Jan is the Chief Executive of For Entrepreneurs Only (FEO) and is a holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion. FEO is a Community Interest Company based in Hull. Membership is made up of over 200 private sector business owners who collectively employ 27,000 people and turn over £7billion. The aim of FEO is to be the trusted voice of the private sector in Hull and The East Riding and to help and encourage entrepreneurs to start, adapt and grow their businesses using a peer led model. In 2021, FEO was awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Davina Gillyon is the Chief Commercial Officer at rradar and a member of its Senior Leadership Team. She has been instrumental in transforming rradar into a high-performing legal enterprise, driving innovation through an expanding portfolio of products and services that strengthen and accelerate its growth strategy. Davina brings expertise in commercial strategy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement, and is an advocate for ethical leadership. She is committed to leading by example to inspire, equip and empower others to confidently pursue, and excel in, senior leadership roles; this advocacy is driving forward greater diversity at the highest echelons of business.

Nathan began his journey with Stallard Kane as an office administrator and rose through the ranks to become Managing Director. Over 17 years, he has helped shape Stallard Kane into one of the UK’s leading health and safety and risk management consultancies. Nathan is passionate about creating workplaces that are safer, stronger, and better for people. To all aspects of Nathan’s business endeavours, Nathan prides himself on bringing a blend of business acumen, compassion, and a relentless drive to make a difference - qualities that align perfectly with Business Beats Cancer’s mission to unite business leaders in the fight against cancer.
