About Shine Night Walk Cambridge
Shine Night Walk is your chance to light up Cambridge’s streets and support life-saving research. Over the Mathematical Bridge, around the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens and past the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, you’ll walk past Cambridge's iconic landmarks before ending with a finish line celebration.
Walk solo and meet friends along the way, or sign up as a group and walk together.
With Shine Night Walk you can choose to fundraise for a cancer cause close to your heart, or simply where the need is greatest.

The route
The Shine Night Walk in Cambridge takes you through the heart of the city past some of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Depending on your pace, the 10k route will take between 1.5 - 3 hours.

When you sign up to Shine Night Walk you can pick which research area you want to support, from bowel cancer to children’s cancers or simply where the need is greatest.
Over the last 40 years our work has helped double breast cancer survival, supported the development of radiotherapy and played a role in developing 8 of the world’s top 10 cancer drugs.
Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime*, but your fundraising can make a difference.
How fundraising helps Cambridge
Cambridge is also home to three of our six drug discovery sites(link is external), with the others based in London, Glasgow and Newcastle. These sites bring together the best minds in basic and clinical cancer research together with the rigour and drive of pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
