The Cancer Prevention Research Conference 2024
Our first annual Cancer Prevention Research Conference took place in Boston this year in partnership with the American Cancer Society and the National Cancer Institute.
Next year the conference will be held in London from 25–27 June. Mark the date in your calendars and register your interest to be the first one to hear when registration opens.
Learning objectives
We want to create a multidisciplinary cancer prevention research community and spark new collaborations to enable advances in future cancer prevention approaches. Attendees will hear insights across the research continuum, from discovery biology through to population and implementation sciences.
Audience
This is a must-attend event for researchers from discovery biology, translational and behavioural science and population and implementation research, including established and early-career researchers from across the world.
2024 Conference Co-chairs
John Burn (Newcastle University)
Tim Rebbeck (Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center)
Thea Tlsty (University of California San Francisco)
2024 Abstracts
We invited attendees to showcase their work and present a poster as part of the conference programme. A limited number of lightning talks were selected from the submitted abstracts, with priority for PhD students and postdocs.
Abstracts were submitted under one of the conference themes:
Mechanistic insights informing prevention strategies
Health inequities in cancer incidence and prevention
Deepening understanding of risk
Precision prevention in high-risk population
