Fitbit

Please follow the step-by-step process from your Giving page to connect to Fitbit

  • You will need to have a Fitbit account already set up.
  • Whilst logged into your Giving Page account, find the Giving Page you would like to connect to Fitbit.
  • Click the link to connect to Fitbit.
  • You will be asked to log into your Fitbit account, if you are not logged in already.
  • Next you will need to accept permission for Fitbit to share your activities with Cancer Research UK, this will complete your connection.
  • Once connected you will be able to choose your settings for Fitbit.

You can update your settings at any time.

Please note, you can't connect your Fitbit to more than one Giving Page at a time. You'll need to disconnect Fitbit from another page before you connect it to a new one.

You can set or change your Fitbit step target at any time in your Giving Page Fitbit settings. To access these settings, select the ‘Change Fitbit Settings’ on your Giving Page.

Your activity might be missing because it falls outside of your Giving Page activity date range. You can view or edit the date range from the ‘Change Fitbit Settings' section on your Giving Page.

Your Giving Page will update with the latest data from your Fitbit account. To make sure your Giving Page is showing your latest steps total, regularly sync your Fitbit app with your fitness tracking device or fitness app. If your Giving Page is taking longer than an hour to update, it might be an issue with your Fitbit account.

If you've followed the Fitbit troubleshoot guidance and your Giving Page is still not updating, please disconnect your Fitbit account from your Giving Page and reconnect it.

You currently cannot delete individual activities from your Giving Page.

If you would like to be able to delete individual activities from your Giving Page in future, please let us know here.

Disconnecting from Fitbit will stop Fitbit sharing new activities to your Giving Page and will delete all existing Fitbit activities from your Giving Page.

You can disconnect from Fitbit by following the ‘Disconnect Fitbit’ process from the Fitbit setting section on your Giving Page.

If you would like Fitbit to stop sharing activities to your Giving Page, review the date range you have in your Fitbit settings as this dictates the date range in which Fitbit will share activities with Cancer Research UK.

The activity tracker on your Giving Page shows a total of all Fitbit activities on your page.

When you change your activity date range in your Giving Page Fitbit settings, this will update your activity tracker to show the total steps completed during your new date range.

Don't worry if you don't have a Fitbit tracker or smart watch. There are still ways to showcase your challenge progress on your giving page.
