Financial support and cancer

Charity grants

There are charities and organisations that offer financial support and grants. Grants are usually a one off payment that does not need to be paid back.

The amount of financial support organisations and charities offer varies. Some help with day to day expenses. And others may make a contribution towards particular costs. Some charities might ask for a nurse, doctor or social worker to refer you. This simplifies the process so the charity can arrange your support as quickly as possible.

Every case is different, so you can contact the charity directly if you’re not sure if you qualify for a grant.
